8 of the 10 Fastest Growing Food & Beverage Companies in U.S. are Healthy/Organic

The 2013 Inc. 500|5000 list  just came out, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the “healthy” food segment dominate. This annual report, of course, honors and ranks the country’s fastest growing companies based on a 3-year aggregate growth rate (so these results are based on 2009-2012 figures). Inc. reports that during this period, the Food and Bev industry as a whole grew at a rate of 82%, compared to 240% in Environmental Services, 130% in Healthcare, 48% in Computer Hardware, and just beating out a Construction industry that came in at 81%.
